Late afternoon light on apartments by the fishing harbour Puerto Mogan seen from the cliff

Harbourside apartment

A delightful one-bedroom ground-floor apartment in one of the best and prettiest locations in a quiet part of the marina development, right by the fishing harbour and only a five minute walk to the golden beach.

It has a small garden and patio perfect for breakfast or dining in the evening, and one has a small room adjoining the bedroom, with a small child's bed, and a cot which is available on request.

Getting here

Puerto Mogan is a special place - and only four hours flying time from the UK and Ireland. There are several charter airlines offering flights to Gran Canaria. There are also scheduled flights from Britain and Ireland, either direct or via Madrid. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Puerto de Mogan from Las Palmas airport by car, taxi or luxury minibus and the No. 91 Directo limited stop bus now comes all the way to Puerto de Mogan.

Puerto Mogan

Puerto de Mogan is the prettiest resort on Gran Canaria and good weather is virtually guaranteed, with the south of the island getting the best of it. English is spoken in almost all the restaurants and shops, though feel free to practice your Spanish - it will be appreciated! There are also expat-owned bars where a welcome is assured.

Some local cafés regularly feature live music, but in the marina complex, where these apartments are, there are no disco bars or music after 11pm. However, further along the coast in, for example Puerto Rico or Playa del Ingles, there are plenty of opportunities for a livelier nightlife, and taxis are relatively cheap, so there's no need to miss that "grand night out".    Favourite bars and restaurants

Friday is Market Day in Puerto Mogan and is when the usually tranquil resort bursts into life. If you enjoy the bustle of a market and its crowds of visitors, you'll love it. If not, there are plenty of other places on the island to explore or visit to escape from it all!

If you are an angler, you can fish from the shore or go carp fishing in one of the lakes in the interior of the island, or even better, fish for big-game fish from Dorado, one of the island's best sport-fishing boats.

Residential lettings for a minimum period of 3 months.
